My car was dropped off at 09:00 in the morning, I received a call at 16:00 that afternoon saying my car had failed its MOT, due to a worn tyre. The tyre couldn't be changed that day or the Saturday morning, so I had to wait until Monday afternoon.

I have a service plan EMAC. There's 1 MOT cover on it. When I was charged for the MOT I asked and it was checked by the advisor who said there's nothing on it. So I paid. Later I called EMAC who confirmed I have 1 MOT covered and didn't need to pay.

I felt it a missed opportunity not giving me a key fob with a new key I just spent £320 on, both penny pinching and a missed opportunity to market the dealership! The simple service also took longer than expected. The people were friendly and polite.

Greeted by a member of staff who listened to some issues I had with my car. Air conditioned comfortable waiting area with complimentary tea and coffee. All issues were addressed. Very happy with the overall experience.

Second experience with HJ which has fallen below expectation. I asked for a courtesy car as I had appointments on the day. The courtesy car would not lock and was unusable. By the time my car was returned it was too late to reschedule.

The centre was easy to reach and had a clean, airy, professional feel. I was greeted, taken to the service area, and my details were checked. We went through the worksheet, and I was told when the work would be completed.

They only replaced one of the headlights and said the other one was OK. There must have been a manufacturing problem with this type of headline and I think it would have been wise to replace both as it was a factory recall.
